So for two weeks now I have been guzzling water like an absolute trooper! Missed what's going on? See here.
I was hoping to get my bladder back in check by now but nope...still waking up in the night for a wee, still needing to go for wild wees in the park during work hours. Never mind, guess I'll just have to get used to weeing more frequently.
I am quite easily drinking more than 2 Litres of water a day. I drink probably about 500ml of water when I first wake up. There are so many benefits to drinking loads of water first thing in the morning, you can read about them here. I never even considered the fact that for eight hours, I'm not eating or drinking anything over night so my body probably is massively dehydrated. So immediately I am rehydrating myself as soon as I wake up. I then drink a full litre bottle in the morning as I'm working, fill it up again at lunch time and drink a full litre bottle in the afternoon. So 2 litres is a very easy amount for me to be drinking every day in the morning, plus the odd glass that I have with meals.
- The bags under my eyes...dare I say it...have started to slowly fade. Yes they are disappearing. They are certainly less pronounced than they were this time last week. It's certainly true what Rick said, that it does take a couple of weeks for your body to adjust to a new regime. They are still there faintly, but there is progress! Woohoo!
- I certainly, I mean really, really definitely have much clearer skin. I would probably always have one or two blemishes on my face of a casual day. But with drinking more water, I am very excited to see that my skin is so beautifully clear, seriously. I am amazed by the difference.
- One more point I have to make on this, and probably my favourite one, is that Rick says I'm perkier. Perkier...? My immediate response to that was "wait...so am I usually miserable?" to which he responded "that is such a woman thing to say...". I was only teasing...sort of. But I can actually see what he means. I definitely feel happier and less stressed a lot of the time now. I am springing out of bed in the morning and the little things that tend to usually irk me, just aren't any more. Pfft! I am also being more pro-active in general. I am finding the time to crack on with house work and do chores. No more leaving the dishes til the next morning! Maybe this is a massive placebo effect...but it's working!
Seriously guys! Drink more water! You need to try this!
Water is quite literally the elixir of life. Our bodies are made up of mostly water, when we don't drink enough water our bodies slow down and don't function to the best of their ability. There's something really easy that you can do to help your body on it's journey to stay in the best possible shape it can. Drink more water!
Who else is undergoing the challenge and has seen results? Or not seen results? Let me know!
I've really been trying since Friday, to remember to drink more. I need to look in the mirror more to see if there is any effect but I've certainly felt better amputation trying to drink more!
ReplyDeleteWell I think amputation is a bit drastic but I love your enthusiasm! Xxx
DeleteIt's ok! I knew it had to be an autocorrect error but it's a good one!
DeleteAhrgh, that was my autocorrect that changed 'After' on the phone, I noticed only after posting and I just hit my data blackspot on the train line and couldn't recomment!
ReplyDeleteOmg, you're my inspiration, thanks babe! I will start this challenge today and can't wait to drink more and more water. Let's stay hydrated!
